5 days in, most of younger steam players will kick the cooling out of most of the old (like in you are old) vets around here.
It is not that your everyday pug player here is actually a good player.
However, most people here *are* on steam so I realy don't know what you all expect to see the next days.

Replace phrase "seal-clubbing." Substitute for phrase "skittle-crushing"...because if this Steam launch fails, there's a chance this game will fold...

No more chance than it had to fold yesterday. They either have cash flow to continue or they don't. Can't see steam launch causing a cash flow problem for any longer than it takes to shut down the new servers they spun up no matter how badly it goes..

Well, at almost as old as you, my fear is that they will overcome ... for about two weeks. If you can call that fear, as I don't really care. But those kids learn real quick, and they have all the time in the world to put into it.

I don't really see the potential for this. At worst case, the influx of new players from Steam turns out surprisingly meager, but even then Steam will make MWO at least a bit bigger.

One other thing we have going for us old goats is patience, sometimes this game actually requires and rewards it. Also, might not steam bring us more old goats as well, or is it really just a kiddie thing?

Problem is, that's us. With no one to play but ourselves.
