Maybe I'm being petty, but it really bothers me that the Jenner IICs cockpit is the EXACT same as the regular Jenner, even though the IIC just has a flat pane instead of the triple windows the regular Jenner has.

That hunchback laser placement is ridiculous. There's gonna have to be a huge razor hidden in that candy or it's going to be THE absolute dominant hill humper/sniper medium for a while. Seriously 4 lasers at the very top of the head? With another 4 directly below the head?

I like how the thread title makes it sound like an issue that has been overlooked for months, and yet we're talking about information that has only been available for five minutes

But yeah, I agree. It's silly. I'm not sure if it's because they got lazy or because they felt Alex' cockpit design was too claustrophobic for a light mech. But this is silly.

OP, you DO realize the IIC series is just regular IS mechs with clan-tech weapons, right?

They literally took the same mechs and said, "ok, let's put Clan lasers in this mother".

And even in the lore.. basically the same thing..

Except they use clan endo and ferro and clan engines, only similiar feature is they are standard battlemechs as are all current IS mechs.

Yes. He's saying look at the window panels. Look at them. Look. The exterior and interior don't match. I don't really care, but I am kind of curious as to the reason behind it, whether it be laziness, or that they wanted to preserve some of the Jenner aesthetic in the IIC.

More than likely laziness or It wasnt high on their priority list.

The question is are all the other IIC mechs cockpits identical to their IS counterparts?

the hunchbakc is not made like this on IS side when it comes to hardpoint placement, they are

This is what gets me. PGI said we would never have clan tech on IS mechs and then they go an release the IIC that are...ding ding ding clan tech on IS Mechs.

All the customization of an IS mech all with the benefits of clan tech, that was one of the whole balancing points of locking all the equipment on clan mechs.
