I have been using the X-55 for the last 3 months. I love its programmability, however I am not fond of the absolute joystick line that pgi suggests using. I have been trying to get the sst profile software that came with the X-55 this would allow me to use the mouse nipple on the throttle. I tried the X-52 work arounds on these forums it didn't help. The Saitek boards have nothing about MWO either. any help would be great.

I have the same stick, X-55. I cannot seem to get the game to recognize my throttle axis. Everything else seems to work such as torso twists, leg trajectory rotation, weapons, etc. Just no forward or reverse unless I use wasd on my keyboard. I know it doesn't help you Winters, but being that this is a Saitek X-55 thread, just thought I'd throw it out there. The hotas itself is great. I know everything on it works because I've been using it with Elite: Dangerous without any problems.

While I appreciate the effort that went into the absolute joystick config in MWO, it really missed the mark. It is simply not ready for use. If you have the option use mouse emulation on your stick axis that is the way to go, however it sounds like your having trouble with assigning mouse controls to what is to be the joysticks mouse anyway.... afraid I won't be of much help on that topic.

To the throttle issue, I have read that certain games had trouble with the split axis of the X-55. Have you tried splitting the throttle and only moving half when trying to assign the axis in MWO?

You need to uncouple one of your throttles and only move the one. (eg right hand one) There should be a locking feature you can unlock

@Wintersbear: You are better off using the mouse and throttle part and if you have rudders for steering. Current joystick support is awful and looks set to stay that way for a while. I was miffed to say the least because the current implementation of absolute axes was simply unusable. Don't bother and save yourself a lot of pain trying to fight the lone fight in a game written for mouse users
. Read Loc Nar's thread controls demystified

I just came across this issue in Star Citizen, apparently most games recognize the dual throttle as two separate axis, and the game gets confused. Unlock your throttle, set the key-bind using only one throttle, re-lock and you should be good to go.

Worked for me.

Can someone prepair one for me or maybe screenshot ingame how did you set up your x55 joystick and trotthle.

Here are the keys of x55 if you could fill this out would much appreciate it.
