3Rd Person Mech View.. <Not What You Think>

I propose a system whereby there would be a thirdperson view of your mech , say from 50 m that would be displayed on one of the screens in the cockpit, or just a fake image superimposed upon some spot in the cockpit.
the image would be about the size of one of the screens.
It should be able to toggle on /off.. Furthermore it would be nice to have an additional toggle that would make it full screen, but in that mode it would be a screenshot thereby ensuring there wouldnt be any tactical shennanigans going on.
I dont see any tactical advantage this would bring, it would look kinda cool seeing your little mech moving along<game doesnt even have to render enviroment, just the mech> and it would be an option..
Plus you would get to see what your mech looks like half tore up and smoking.
thoughts?

I would, personally, be willing to pay 5 or 10 real dollars for this.

perhaps i didnt explain properly.. Its just a representation of you on one of your screens inside the cockpit. From like 50 m away from you.. Nothing has to be rendered except the mech .SO tactically, you see nothing.
Now, you could also toggle it up to a full screen sreen shot, but that hardly is going to give you any kind of tactical advantage if its done right.. Say the angle is 50 m in front of you from 10 ft off the ground.. <ba height>
Its a mech admiration tool,, not any thing tactial at all.

No reason whatsoever to have that on the battlefield, though.

Actually, something similar (without the fancy paint schemes) was already in MW3 over a decade ago. In that instance, it was used instead of the "paper doll" to display damage.

MW 2 and 3 both had the ability to change the way you saw damage. Bars for each hit location, full 3d model and paper doll. I think MW2 either only had it as a wire-frame or the wire-frame was an additional option there.

If it's so important people have a 3rd person view, for whatever reason, they could take the MW3 approach - that is, both mechs are displayed as 3rd person models, instead of little paperdollars, with sections lighting up red as they take damage.
Then they could let us pick if we want a 3d model, a paperdollar, or just damage numbers.

A free, user controlled camera with the option to go to high angles for third party spectators to allow for proper casting. There are often some pretty interesting tactics and maneuvers that go on in organized 8v8s, and it would be great to be able to watch them play out from a proper angle.
A 5-10 minute spectating delay would prevent abuse/cheating, and the ability to save replays would be glorious.
Of course, all these features require quite a bit of coding and effort, so we probably will not see them for a long time, if ever.

you should be able to cycle through paperdoll, 3D model, and bar charts for you own mech.
As for the enemy mech, maybe they can make them modules.
One module for being able to cycle between paperdoll and 3D model, and one for the bar charts with actual armor numbers.
Both provide tactical advantage of some sort, and PGI gets more "end-game content", and new player can understand their mech movement better.
Win-win-win, eh?
