Spawn points have been a problem for a long time and they really need to be fixed.

How are they a problem?

First, they are fixed and therefore lead to predictable and stale matches. Doesn't matter how big the map is if it plays out the same way every match.

Second, the fact that spawn points are fixed reduces the value of scouting, since in every match you start with exact knowledge of the enemy's starting positions.

Third, they put certain lances at a huge disadvantage if they happen to get a bad spawn point. One example would be Frozen City Skirmish where the one lance that spawns in A4 usually gets chewed up trying to join the rest of the team.

Fourth, the fact that spawn points are separated, sometimes by kilometers, is a huge limitation on tactical flexibility, because it means you have to spend 2-3 minutes just grouping up with your team, and by that time you're already in contact with the enemy. If all three lances spawned together, the team would have the flexibility to choose different strategies. Old Forest Colony may have been small, but at least you had real choices as far as a gameplan. New Forest Colony doesn't allow this because of how spread out the spawn points are.

So what's the solution? Spawn all three lances in the same point, and have random or semi-random selection of which point it is. This change would substantially increase the variety of combat situations that take place and prevent games from becoming stale.
