Okay, as it says on the tin, the Steam version of MWO doesn't want to run at all while the non-Steam version works no issues.
What it's doing through Steam is never getting past the login screen and prompts me with 'Unknown Error'
What I've noticed as it tries to connect through Steam is that my TS connection drops in quality to around 10-15% and when I open up my command prompt and ping www.mwomercs.com I'm getting ~60 ping.
If I leave Steam open, I have really spotty connection as well.
Anyone got any ideas on what I need to do?

Don't install 2 copies of the game or the local config files will partially overwrite and screw up how the game launches. That'd be my guess.
