Speaking of cool, this thing is going to be hot like a Nova unless it runs mostly ERSLasers with maybe 1 or 2 ERLLasers depending on what fits. I'm not too worried because of the heat. We will see once they hit the battlefield I suppose.

You can get 3 alphas out of this and the cooling rate will be hilarious.

You can try it. I'll say this though, an Artic Cheetah can pull off 6 SPLasers because it is fast and can hit and fade. Your Hunchback will only be able to do 90~95kph with the max 275 engine. Even with the clan energy range advantage, you will be a bit hot for sustained fire and a bit slow for hit and fade.
Don't get me wrong, I'd still try it if you want. It might be OK. Just don't be surprised if it doesn't work as well as you might think.

- Isn't oversized (slightly smaller than IS Hunchback)
- Has the best hardpoint location in the game
- Can't be disarmed without killing it
- Can easily strip armour from arms to fit more heat sinks
- Is an infinitely better hill-humper, due to a tiny sniping profile

This 50 tonner can do most Loki builds, swapping the Jesus Box for JJs.
It can do Ballistics better, however.

That is a good point :/

In MWO, it'll be one of the most popular mechs in the game when it arrives

Yeah, might be too slow for SPL. Still, it got exceptional hardpoint locations, and with CXL engine, it will be able to tank a lot of damage while still mounting the firepower of an IS heavy. Maybe 2 larges and 6 smalls or 6 meds, two of which in the CT. Anyway, I think we'll see this mech a lot in the coming days.

Lore? In my Mechwarrior Online? It's less likely than you think.

Although in lore, it's running crazy setups like 2 ultra 20's. With hardly any ammo.
It's like... Is the pilot old, mentally unraveling, consistently underperforming, etc??? Throw them into a Hunchback IIC. With 2 ultra 20's they SHOULD be able to do a ton of damage with the couple shots they have before running out of ammo and getting blown to bits. All a pilot needs to do is aim and pull a trigger.
I wouldnt doubt if most Hunchback IIC ejector systems were "malfunctioning". I assume it was a great way to get a rid of the less desirables. Might as you well have them go out in glory I suppose and do damage while it happens *shrug*.
Now if clanners actually gave 2 craps about IIC mechs instead of being used with/by (garrison, free births, bondsman, aging, etc...), then I'm sure they could be made pretty dangerous like they will in MWO.

I think Alistair said it best. It will be quite the 6 ERMLaser hill humping sniper.
I agree, we will see a lot of them.

yeah, but way better hardpoint placement, and probably better hitboxes.
toss 2x ERPPC on that, some JJs, etc? Premiere poptart in the game.

because Dual Gauss leaves little room for anything else...like even ammo....or a decent sized engine? And because with crap DPS and low speed... every Light will eat you for breakfast?
It might see limited use in CW.... but 3x ERLL will probably be better.

Well, if IICs were locked like they were in Lore (not because of space magic, but because the Powers that Be would not waste resources on them), we wouldn't have this talk.
