Coc Update Is Where?

I actually read the new stuff, but forgot some things and wanted to refresh my memory and share it with some other players who didn't read it.
Why hasn't it been updated on the forum or where can we find it again?
BTW, no. I am NOT happy with some of the redefinitions being so munchkin friendly and that's why some people need to be warned.

I just went to the search box, typed in Code of Conduct, and there it is, the new version.
Every time there is a CoC/EULA change, you have to re-agree to it or not play, industry standard.

According to this:
Quote
Posting or referring to sexual and/or violent actions.
Posting or referring to pornography.
Posting or referring to reproductive organs, waste organs, or inappropriate bodily functions.
Circumventing a word filter.
Using divisive or otherwise offensive language.
Referencing illicit drugs or activities.
Reference to performing or planning illegal activities.
Phishing personal information of other players.
Providing links or instructions for pirated or illegal materials.
Discussing pirated or illegal materials.
We're not allowed to write about penis, colon, or semen/prostatic-specific antigen. Better censor those words, PGI.

Will the term "noob", or "tryhard" be considered as divisive language, I wonder?
Anyone knows what these files do? I only accessed the User.cfg and Profile.xml. Weapon groups is self explanatory.
Quote
- User.cfg
- Game.cfg
- Attributes.xml
- Actionmaps.xml
- Profile.xml
- Weapongroups.xml
- Changing default save/profile/install locations
Oh, and MACROS ARE LEGAL.
Quote
Keybind macro software and hardware mechanisms are permitted for use as long as such mechanisms still require manual input to initiate and do not fully automate gameplay.

What do you mean by munchkin friendly? the stuff I read seemed pretty reasonable to me. And it made hiding to protect your kdr or to extend the game just to troll illegal. So that's cool.

Eventually, when enough complain about it, yes, those words will be banned.
Last MMO I played, "Hi Welcome!" was a term used to belittle noobs, how, no idea and didn't care, but they complained and was added to CoC.
Wonder if I can get in trouble for posting about the evils of pants and that everyone should never, ever, wear them. Ever.
We all know that not wearing pants grants you +1 Piloting and Gunnery Skills and great heat dissipation. It's in the Lore....

It is not even mentioned there so I play without ever knowing there was a change to it (or one at all).
I know it because I'm here for a while already but new steam players don't know about this afaik.

I'll admit I take an extreme view of macros. I've been solidly anti-macro since the Team Fortress Classic days where scrubs needed macros for rocket/nade/pipe/conc jumping and bunnyhopping. They all said they could do it normally but macros made it easier. What happened to practice and even after a thousand times you might still mess up... what's the word I'm looking for.... skill? That can't be it. I'm sure it will come to me.
Maybe it's just because PGI can't really detect or do anything about it, so might as well permit it for those that wouldn't want to break the rules....

no what ticked me off the most was the whole Non-Participation section. Boy they spelled it out in black and white... to a munchkin's delight.
Also, note what is missing --- team treason. Very interesting. I guess that no longer counts as griefing
Oh well, if I log into a match again, we'll see how long it takes for me to get banned.

and they ban you from even mentioning what doing that kind of stuff is... and it ain't skill or good sportsmanship.
This is the Lance Armstrong school of sports ethics.

I didn't have to agree. Steam ftw!
---
And -
Engaging in any of the following actions while using PGI services is forbidden:
Posting or referring to sexual and/or violent actions.
Posting or referring to pornography.
Posting or referring to reproductive organs, waste organs, or inappropriate bodily functions.
Circumventing a word filter.
Using divisive or otherwise offensive language.
Referencing illicit drugs or activities.
-- Does PGI even have a clue who their players are? Much less the type of player that is going to be coming from steam?
-- Special mention to - referring to violent actions in a game where you are killing each other, and that's the ONLY thing you do.

I'm not sure I understand what 'team treason' means. There's a line about assisting the enemy -- does that not cover it?
