What makes a good game a Great Game? it's community !!
I played for 2-3 years League of Legends, daily, 3-4 matches every day. The first thing I've learnt is how to "mute chat". The second is "never ask anything on forum", I did it twice and both times instead of advices and explainations I've got isults and flames.
Then I met MWO. Good, I loved Battletech, let's try this.
The game is complex, many things to learn, so let's try ask something on forum.
Result: many many explainations, hints, advices and a code to redeem 3 HBK 3 hangar slots and 30 premium days.
Ok League of Legends U are a good game, but the community wastes everything, so I can say to u one thing only: lol.

Wish I had more Hunchie videos to show you, but I have this one :) One of the best ways to learn is watching others

I wouldn't recommend that build though, it was just something I was trying out. The 4H is best with AC10 and 5 medium lasers.

If you really want to get more involved in the community I would suggest checking out some of the public TS servers. You'll find a lot of helpful people there. Most servers will have "new player" areas set up as well. Even if you don't have a mic, it's often easier and faster to get tips from a live person as opposed to waiting on the forums.

MWO has a great little community honestly. There's a few here and there but for the most part, this community is very welcoming.

MWO has a community of mostly older (read adult) gentlemen and ladies and we act like it. Don't get me wrong, we're a pedantic and masochistic community, but we're certainly one of the most civil f2p game communities around.

You mean "its community". "It's" means "It is". Fix your god damned grammar, noob!

Oh sorry, this sort of goes against the spirit of this thread, doesn't it?

Weclome OP. There are some Hunchback specialists on these boards who can really make them shine. Need to work through mine eventually. Don't worry about failure as a new player as there is quite the learning curve even with the tutorial.

The community can be pretty nice. Much nicer on the help boards than here in GD. GD is where many of the saltier players gravitate to.

Now you can step it up a notch and try joining on some Team Speak Voice Chat

This post lists some of the TeamSpeak servers out there, you may need to scroll to the end and work back up to get any updates.

I know I get salty sometimes, and yes some of the overdone phrases can get old, but I need to say thank you for reminding me how good we have it.

Welcome and have fun.

Note IL2 has a good playerbase too.

LoL has the worst community of any game but this happens when you have a company that it's focus is gaining money to fund esports.

<---gold S2 player. Havent played much since then.

Your story warms my heart. I like feeling that the BT community is more welcoming than others. Not that I contributed much, but I like it.
Glad you got the help you needed, but be careful as suggestions can be highly opinionated. I know I am.
