I have only played a few games so far but i love these new IIC mechs.
So much firepower.
I haven't gotten less than 2 kills in any match so far, but ive also died every match so far too.

This is how fast mechs used to die (well, cXL faster than STD, but of course slower than isXL).
There's a reason the Hunch used to be a poor mech (though, this has 2 smaller hunches).

But is that because they are less-good or is that because everything else is too-good? While the end-result is the same, that nuance is how we determine what direction the game can go next.

I wouldn't jump the gun on that after a couple hours of play. I thought the same thing when clans initially dropped. Also keep in mind the recent changes to clan xl functionality and weaponry in general.

This just ensures these mechs have good gear.
Lack of customization as a balance approach was pants on head stupid from day one.

I think they're alright. But I'm still expecting to see steam reviews calling them p2w.

I think the continents move faster than it accelerates if you leave the 270 STD in it.

Why in gods name would you use a STD engine in a mech that has no CT / Cockpit hardpoints? Unless you are just trying to point out that a factory default mech is bad, which would be met with a resounding 'duh'.

Oh yeah I immediately put a 325 XL in it just wanted to see the stock loadouts, it was impressive how bad its mobility was

Have 3 I remember when they were kings of the battlefield lol the Highlander pre pop tart nerf was like the most mobile IS assault, aside from maybe the Victor
It was actually exactly in the middle, Victor and Awesome were more agile, Stalker and Atlas less.

the awesome? LOL maybe the pretty baby or 9m with those massive engines but not an 8Q with only a 300 STD

Nerfs are the only way to balance stuff without power creep. Deal with it.
Then how bout your IS mechs lose all their quirks? Hows that for power creep?

So you can use one side to shield.
