Mission Statement:
The 4th Tau Ceti Rangers is a casual unit looking for mature players to game with a few days a week; the unit meets up Tues/Wed/Thurs @ 8pm CST for Faction/Proxis and Pug matches. Saturday and Sunday brunch drops also see large gatherings.
You will find unit members on most nights and days of the week gaming in some capacity.
Work, family, relationships outside of the game come first!
A typical night involves shooting dead- DavRats, sipping scotch and/or beer and discussing the finer things in life; baccarat, tsingtao, scotch, role playing, green and how beautiful and wise the Chancellor is.
Some things we are looking for in Mechwarrior applicants, and some you may be looking for from us:
- No restrictions on chassis, engines or weapons. Suggestions may and will be offered.
- The Unit dabbles in roleplay, but for fun - character bios posted on the website. And in writing fluff about our campaigns and stories that follow individual pilots.
- Campaign ribbons and Confederation citations will be handed out when appropriate.
- There is typically a Brevet period of 1 month (you feel us out, we feel you out) and then a promotion to 2nd Lieutenant.
- All we ask is you don the unit colors for unit cohesion (Dark Camo Brown/Khaki), celebrate the Chancellor and the Confederation!
- Unit is looking for prior service/military types, along with gamer types; many of us D&D/DCC/Battletech
- Own a strong drop deck of 265 tons
- Open to using Team Speak (4thtauceti.aceratech.net or theliao.com:10022 will get you there.)
- Be over the age of 18 (We can get salty)
