Well, the OP already upgraded, but I thought I'd add my two cents:
My main reason was one of showing support for the game. I had the money, so I went for it. I've done the same thing with other games, for instance buying the collectors edition when all I got was a plastic statue, etc. I'm willing to drop some cash for something I think is worth supporting.

One trillion %.
trust me the unique mechs and the permanent slots they come with are worth it.
It took.me 30 seconds to work.this out even.though I tend gravitate to the big firepower assault mechs. that other 5% you spend in.the other classes will be like.a waterslide. effortless.
