I ended up taking mine back after the microcontroller on the keyboard overheated and slagged the Escape key. Actually melted it. Didn't know you could do that with USB levels of power.

I've had good luck with their later mice. They still don't seal the lenses, so I have to regularly blow air in to degunk it because the mouse stops responding, but the fix is easy and they fit my hand well (and I like their software).

As a general rule, either you'll get one that will fail within a year, or it will last a decade. I've gotten lucky so far, my copperhead from 2007 and Taipan from three or four years ago are both still flawless. But not everyone does that (and the deathadder in particular is known for poor reliability).

I got lucky then. My DeathAdder is as old as MWO + some and still works the charm.
