OK so here is the problem. I have a radeon 6970 graphics card. I had MWO installed and running fine. My hard drive died, got an ssd. Installed. Everything is back up, except I have missed a setting somewheres. Cause now I can't see the buildings. Just the buildings.
Everything is the same, all drivers are up to date.
Direct X11 running in 64 bit. Same as before. Thought it might be a setting in the catalyst center.....

I've got two helpful words for you, pal: repair tool. You'll need to run that. Set it to clear the cache and all that before letting it run.

If I remember correctly, it may be that CCC is overriding the graphics in the game. You may get a result by making the application determine the graphics.

I had one a couple of years ago, and a similar problem/ I solved it by making MWO chose what to do and not CCC.

Hope this helps.

Maybe try running it in DX9? MW:O is coded in DX9 and "ported" to DX11. (my terminology may wrong.)

How Can you not see the Buildings but see the Buildings?
I Have a Visiontek 6970 2GB, No Issues here. How old is your Card? is it OCed? if so can you try putting it back to stock? could it be that your card is dead/dieing? any issues in other games? What drivers do you have?

you wouldn't have a screenshot would you?

just you know
hit the print button and the screenshot is in your user folder (err, C: user ... saved games, Mechwarrior online)

this isn't because of a setting in settings menu?
sounds like environment to low or such

sometimes a certain distances buildings weren't drawn and you saw the mechs behind, but the hit won't register, until you moved closer and a low res building pops up
don't know if it's still like that

I have up to date drivers and everything. its actually driving me insane.

amd fx 4100 3.6Ghz oced to 4.0, 16 gb ram 1600mhz 120gb ssd HD directx11, if I switch it to directx 9 the problem gets worse. the mechs suddenly stop showing up. wish I could paste screenshot of the issue, dunno how. I have one.

and i lied, its more than the buildings. when I go into frozen city for example, I go to where the "nest" is. and where I know there should be a building. I walk clean through. some I can some I can't. I can fire straight through most. it's like I have a hack running or something but, I'm not. i'll even put up my user.cfg file to prove it if someone tells me how.

Just to be clear: you have tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling the game... not just run the repair tool on a previous installation that you might have copied over from the old drive's image. Correct?

If you're able to walk *through* buildings there's something a lot larger than a setting you missed somewhere going on here.

Also, any side effects for any other games or applications?

no side effects for any other games. and yes I have un installed and re-installed. I even asked PGI, you know what they wrote back?

your video drivers look old. could you update them, wish I could show you, but I have all of the most up to date drivers f my system.
basically This is PGI, they can't even make a game that can simply be downloaded and played.

That's what I Was thinking also, 15.7.1 Is the Newest Driver that's Compatible with the HD 6970 (Now Considered a Legacy Card), the Newer Drivers (15.12 Being the Newest) is only Compatible with the HD 77xx & Newer Cards, So You'd need to Upgrade to a HD 7850/R7 265 or Better Card to be Compatible with the Newest Drivers.

to put in a screenshot it first needs to be accessible from the internet, so put it on your Microsoft onedrive (free with Hotmail or Outlook emails, or your Google Drive (free with Gmail) or any other online file storage, there will be an option to get a link, when you have it then paste the link to the file into a forum post
