Like the post says, we should have playable homeworld clans. Since there is a big giant space of planets begging to be used, it should be made available. While I don't have any problems with the "Big Four" Clans, I'll admit it is boring to have those clans available to play as. If the only price to pay is that the HW Clans would be fighting each other, I would be fine with it. Maybe the Homeworld factions can have their own events or game modes that would operate differently like 10 v 10. This would even give a clear distinction for the "Invading Clans" and personally, I think it would be nice to see some new faction icons along with some individual colored planets.

Homeworld and Invasion Differences:

Invading Clans
Clan vs Clan or Inner Sphere

Homeworld Clans
Clan vs Clan Only

While I kinda agree, the problem is that it divides the already thin clan playerbase even further. What clan really needs is a way to entice more IS players to switch over...

Perhaps a slightly off topic question but why is the clan playerbase thinner then the IS playerbase? I play both IS and Clan stuff and i like both. My rashalgue tag has more to do with me being a Nordic then any in game leanings as such. I would love to play Clan Bloodspirit :)

Well, PGI could use these planets for arena style battles amongst a clan to decide the khan of the clan. Planet then gets the label of the unit the khan player belongs to.

I have no problem with adding the other invading Clans, provided there is sufficient CW population, but I would have little interest in playing as them but putting all 17 current Clans as playable factions may cause population issues.

the way to do it is to perhaps add a "home Clans" faction, and start adding in faction content picks for the other Clans in the Origins 2 or Invasion Wave 4 pack, or whichever Clan pack comes up next for preorder

I'd have no trouble with camo schemes, decals what have you for the homeworld clans being introduced, but at the same time I think adding them as factions would be a mistake. even in table top I always felt the homeworld clans where a bit.. off of sorts in that they didn't really interact with the Inner Sphere at all. (compared to the periphary states where the Taurans might not share a border but they're close eneugh that a raid on House Steiner is in the realm of the "possiable, not terriably likely sure but possiable") Honestly, it's worth noting that after the Jihad the homeworld clans where effectivly "written out" and I suspect it's for those reasons. FASA when they detailed the clan homeworlds had ESSENTIALLY unintentionally created a second setting
