I am running a Marauder 3R with 2 AC5s in the right side torso.
In three games in a row I lost both ACs to a single critical hit it seemed to me.
Is that a mathematical anomaly or is the Marauder´s behaviour to crits bugged?

I run a lot of MAD drops, never had that occur.

I'm sure you've checked already, but triple check the armour you have allotted to your Front RT.. one time I somehow managed to accidently remove the armour off a leg... got crippled immediately several games in a row and then found the issue. Just give that a look.

Otherwise, do you recall what hit you? AC20, LRM spam? That's a lot of dmg needed to strip a ST and crit internals....

Armor is fine, what bugs me is that i seem to loose BOTH ACs at the same time.

Definitely not. Its not stored with the weapons. Also, an ammo explosion would destroy the whole ST (ammo explosion damage is huge). But the Sts stayed on.

The RNG gods decided to shine down upon your opponents.

Its possible to have them both crit at the same time or really quickly when hit by multiple things. Someone with an LBX could have gotten really lucky, or maybe a dual PPC hit could do them both in, or a high powered laser alpha blast, maybe even a bad LRM rain. Anything could have happened.

Also if you only have those two weapons in your torso if someone is aiming there that means that the only thing they can crit would be those two weapons if a crit does happen (which it has some pretty high chances). You can crit pad by putting heat sinks in that slot or other weapons or gauss rifle ammo (don't put normal ammo there because it explodes), or maybe throw in some BAP or something.
