The battle for Epsilon Eridani continued to be harsh throughout the today. Forces of the Free World's League, largely comprised of the FWL's regular units of the 1st Free World's Guard, the Marik Gunfighter's Alliance, the Black Widow Company, and the former mercenary unit the Seraphim, joined in a vicious two rounds of conflict on the eye of a pending ceasefire, locking in battle the Davion affiliated unit of BSI.
Despite weathering a desperate counterattack from the FWL's regular forces, the Blue Star Irregulars failed to take the initiative in the second round. When striking against the Free World's Leagues defences on Epsilon Eridani, it was the rallied forces of the FWL which saw a crushing victory, losing barely more than one company in exchange of over a battalion of Davion mechs. This engagement was the climax of the battle for Epislon, had the Federated Suns managed to overwhelm the FWLM in this engagement, the entire world would have surely fallen back under Davion control. This dogged defence is certainly well remembered by both sides, in the bitter fighting which took place.
After the Ceasefire, mixed units from the Free World's League, largely from the same units, deployed in heavy raid configurations on the Planet Epsilon Indi, capturing over 20% of the planet's vital infrastructure in a series of vicious battles with 22nd Argyle Lancers. They were later joined by a near lance of the mercenary unit of the Phoenix Legion. The battles ranged in both defensive engagements, and offensive ones, each time, despite taking heavy casualties and setbacks, the Marik loyalist units managed to overwhelm their Federated adversaries. With such a significant push in such a short time, both Davion and Marik forces seem to be returning to their staging areas.
The war front continues to be a hotbed for significant exchanges of violence on both sides, and the war truly seems to be entering a new stage of desperate fighting on both sides. For the Free World's League, it is to claim a region of space it's laid claim to since the first succession war, and for the Federated Suns, its to hold on to world's which have flown its banner for decades.
Again, recognition for the honourable pilots of House Marik for having represented their house, both in saving their hard fought for world, and in participating in heavy raid operations on the next planet on the path set out by the FWLM, the Senate, and the Captain General.
