Specifically, on the World Memory Championship that happened in Chengdu, China, on December 15th, 2015.

The person on top is a Mongolian girl who had immigrated to Sweden. As you can see other Mongolians are also high placed.

As a Mongolian, I am very proud of these youths. Mongolians got brain as well as brawn. ;)

Funny title you got there.

Also, it's hard to forget Mongolia, they had a lot of glorious history pages.

Btw, how Mongolia lives now? And stuff?

Mostly desert. Land devastated by increased desertification, loss of topsoil from erosion, and the failure of Soviet style industrialization. But much potential rich mineral resources which means plenty of investment from mining companies, especially from China and Russia.

And Canada as well. Specifically Ivanhoe Mines.

The rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer, corrupt politicians with their Swiss bank accounts, and increased pollution due to industrialization and resource exploitation--usual third world stuff. At least we got cheap internet with higher than average speed, compared to the Americans. Posted Image

Oh? $40 for 112/50 and I'm in an area that comcast has a stranglehold on. Other areas are getting 150/50 for $30. That's basic broadband. FIOS tends to be better. Some areas are getting gigabit for less than $100.

We pay 20-25$ a month for 60/40 internet, plus IPTV and phone service. Downloading things at
7 Mbps is pretty sweet. Some ISPs offer only the high speed internet part at 8$ per month. We do not have regional monopoly, so competition is fierce.

Ours is based on location. A comment like

with higher than average speed, compared to the Americans.

are meaningless. Our internet ranges from $10 to $200 depending on what you want. I download at over 12mbps and run multiple servers with uninterrupted uploads on $50/mo and no bandwidth limit. Some cities run internet in competition with the major telecoms, so it's very cheap. Past that, we're running fiber through 3 mountain ranges, a desert and two major fault lines. Each state has its own laws and challenges. Maintaining fiber loops is a massive undertaking for domestic connectivity, let alone international links.
