So I've looked everywhere for a solution to this but can't find any information whatsoever. Hopefully you guys can help me. I have had MWO installed on my computer for a long time and have played it since it's initial public release. I stopped playing for about 4-6 months, and when I saw it came out on Steam, I downloaded it to get playing again.

The issue - when opening the desktop shortcut to run the executable and start the game, either for the Steam version or the standalone version of MWO, a black window comes up ("Mechwarrior Online (64-bit)" is the title of the window, like the game is going to open), sits for about 6-8 seconds, and an alert shows up saying "(CryEngine Error) CrashRpt fatal error: Couldn't create crash report directory." Here's a url to an image of the error: http://i.imgur.com/9pEKXEz.jpg.

I have uninstalled both the Steam version and the standalone version of MWO and tried to install and run each without the other being installed, and I still get the same issue. I have done the "verify game integrity" procedure with Steam and updated with the latest patches. I've also searched the Internet, but no one has had this issue that I can find. I have no clue why this is happening. Any support on this issue would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Any chance you haven't tried running as Administrator yet? That might resolve it so you can at least see the log files to resolve other bugs.
Manually adding a "Logs" folder to your user profile directory might fix it too. ( Documents\UserName\Saved Games\MechWarrior Online )

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, I've tried running as Admin. Still no luck unfortunately. Also, the Logs folder already exists in that directory...
