Can't tell why, but today pressing caps lock doesn't work for the VOIP for me. Can't tell if it's a bug or something else. tried binding it to another key with no avail.
Can anyone tell what's going on? I noticed people has been awfully quiet since the Steam release whereas people were giving coordinates pretty often before.

It is still working. Check to make sure yours has not been disabled.
Under the Audio tab in the settings menu is a check box for enabling VOIP.

I get this all the freaking time.
I have to go into the game settings, disable VOIP, save, exit settings, go BACK into settings, re-enable VOIP, save and exit every time I start the bleeding game.

AFAIK, the settings aren't persistent, despite some people rereporting that issue multiple times.

Many folks have had issue, but here are some things you can try and why.
You can also just check and see if you see any of the VOIP symbols next to team mates. This will help with further trouble shooting.
If you do not have symbols the next best step is to go to game setting (either by clicking setting bottom right in mechlab or just hit ESC)
- Some times qwik key settings can be changed in any and all programs so check your settings and make sure it is enabled and you have a keyboard setting for it.
If you do have symbols but no sound or MIC it is probably a conflict with your computer and the game and there are a ton of possibilities.
- Do a google search "MWO voip settings" other folks have gone through the ways to check for conflicts with your PC and the game settings. After you try these widen the search to include your specific hardware software.
- Learning to do this is a lot better than waiting for Devs to do it for you in any game/software.
This process will become easier as you learn the steps. It will also help create a better understanding of all the issues and variations that Devs have to deal with.

The Game Take windows setting for Sound. So if you have More than one In put & or output you have to Make sure windows is set correctly.
Windows 10 Input device.
In Windows 10 at the bottom right of your screen RIGHT Click the speaker, left Click Recording devices. This should open a Window listing all the Audio Input that windows knows about. (Unplugged or powered down Item will not show up.) if you Tap your Microphone with your finger you should see green bar light up to the right of the Device listing on the screen. Make sure the Green Check Mark in on that Device. If not left click it than click the "set Default" to move the check mark to it.
Someone Else will have to Tell how to Do Windows vista/7/8/8.1
