No one who's played can talk about it...A condition to the Beta is signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement ("NDA")

If your paying $60 and get $80 plus a free mech and free garage slot, and guaranteed early access on 7th August...well, like I said, only you can make that decision.

Well, if you look on the forum, you can see the mechs that are publicly known to be in. Is it enough? that is a question you have to answer yourself. Will they add more all the time, you bet!

We know what mechs will be in eventually, they've said a few times that all mechs announced so far will probably not to be in launch. Just thought I'd throw in the note.

To me the Legendary Founder pack just gives me a headstart so I won't have to buy those 4 mechs and mechbays later as well as all the others I want. If there's a maximum number of bays then I have the most possible so there's less chance of not being able to house a mech I really want. Remember there are variants for each mech as well as the different prime ones.

earn C-bills to buy cool new weapons/equipment (XL engines ain't cheap)
design new builds (SRM catapult vs LRM catapult)
earn XP on your mechs
buy more variants
earn XP on all the variants
buy modules
buy new mechs that are added to the game (a dozen announced so far, founders only get 1or 4, lots left to buy)
repeat steps 1-6 for a new mech chassis

When you "buy a game", be it by retail box or digital distribution, you are not actually buying the game. You're buying a software license that allows you to use the game within the restrictions set by the developer.
Plus, MWO is Free-to-Play.

As to how far will $80 of cash go in this game, well that depends on your spending habits. If I remember correctly I read in one of the devs forums that the $80 would purchase about 10 to 12 medium sized mechs. Now on the surface that might seem like a lot, but let's take a look at some old school Battletech prices (which should make a good comparsion for us):
50 ton Hunchback 3.5 Million C-Bills
70 ton Archer 6.4 Million C-Bills
90 ton Cyclops 9.2 Million C-Bills
If we use basic math and buy 10 Hunchbacks the cost is 35 million C-Bills, which means for the same amount of C-Bills I could only buy three Cyclops, though I would have little cash left over. Thats not to mention the all the weapons and equipment that your going to want to buy for each mech you decide to outfit.
Of course we're all expecting to earn some CBs along the way but don't expect that all the shiny mechs and equipment that come along aren't going to be looking pretty good. After all some of us just have to have the latest and greatest. Good luck and if you need anything else drop me a line.
