Greetings fellow MechWarrior's,
I've bought a few Hero mechs over time and already have them in my mech bays. Take the Hero Stalker Misery for example. If I buy the Stalker Mastery pack what happens?
Do I end up with two Misery mechs? Or am I only allowed to have one?
If I can only have one, I expect I should strip/sell the one I have before redeeming the code for the mastery pack. I've never bought one for any mechs I already had chassis of.
Thoughts?
Thanks!

You end up with a second Stalker hero.

I guess you can buy any hero mech you want.

I've seen CW matches where players have as many as three Illya Muromets in the same match; they'd probably have more if they could but weight limits. Definitely have seen some with 4 Embers.
Destroy one, they drop as another one, destroy it they drop as another...etc. You can have as many copies of a hero mech as you feel like spending money on. PGI loves it because it helps them keep the lights on and the employees paid.

Thanks. With the limit on the mech packs "Only one hero mech per" I didn't know if that translated over. I didn't want to drop the money until I knew.

If still in doubt, send a message to support.

To be frank, though, I personally think it's better to acquire the Stalkers individually through cbills. Especially since you already own the hero.

Sorry Koniving but no way have you seen someone with 4 Embers in a CW dropdeck, the lowest total weight is 160 tons, 4 E mers would only be 140, I really wish it would allow 4 lights but to have 3 Light Mechs you have to take one 55+ ton Mech.
I do own 2 FS9-E Ember Hero Mechs, one with an XL295 and 4 each Small Pulse Lasers and Machine Guns, the other is slower to allow 4 Med Pulse lasers and 4 MGs

Could've been someone else with it, seemed like the same guy over and over again.
Spoiler
Eek, straying from topic.
Anyway, it genuinely is more worthwhile to collect the mechs individually through cbills; the "best" Stalkers aren't even in the mastery pack anymore. Yes, the 3F has twist, and I think it's the 5M with more missiles or 5S with twin AMS... but the best Stalker isn't in there.
