It's got amazing quirks, is XL friendly and it can be fitted with 3 LPL perfectly, I thought it would become the new FOTM but I was wrong. Personally I'm not much of a laser vomit fan so I stick to a more mixed build.

Energy quirks:
-20% Duration
-20% Heat
15% Cooldown
No glorious range quirks, thank god.

mine:

More speed, more heat eff., higher alpha., higher dps

It's fun!

I run in mine all the time. It was the first mech I bought, and it's one of the few mechs that will never be sold, no matter how hard up for c-bills I may be. I usually run 2 ER large in the arm, 2 mediums, and an SRM 4. It may not be the quickest mech out there, but it's one of the meaner ones I normally field.

It's got CT hardpoints but even then Zombie is not really a thing IMO.

Zombie is not a thing any more. There's too much damage flying around the battlefield, when you soak up enough you die, you rarely get to the zombie stage, normally you get damaged past it.

Back in the day though where brawls lasted more then 5 seconds a zombie build could be devestating especially towards the end of the game or in a really prolonged fight.
