And here I was expecting a proposal to improve the Quickie...
Uhh...any mech that has messed up JJ animations should be fixed. As primarily a CW player I've just noticed it as they are now crawling out from the works bunny hopping everywhere.

the animations of this game, are in general, absolute garbage. simply way too much up and down movement. unless they entire cockpit is suspended on multipe springs, which obviously isn't the case since the mech cockpits are completely static and fixed, the pilot would be unable to pilot the damn thing.
look to mech warrior 4's era of mech animations. a lot more lateral compensation where the bouncing of the mech was distributed along the pelvic area. the entire mech didn't bounce up and down, there was a lot more gyrostabilization in the pelvin and waist section of the mech.
see this mw4 intro cinematic, notice how when the mechs move through the forest in the beginning, the torso oscillates, but most of the motion from the leg on terrain is transferred to the pelvis and waste, and along the hips, just like in human locomotion.

with modern tech, that level of animation is totally achievable. pgi dropped the ball once again. i sometimes wonder did they even play the old games, and if they did, did they learn anything from it, aesthetic, and technical wise?
