Because I'm very friendly and definitely not a fascist. I prefer to give people hugs more than the whip, welcoming and all inclusive especially to new players.

Did I get that right?

Was playing KOTOR way back and I picked a female character. I couldn't decide on a name so the computer autogenerated Catra Lanis. Later I played SWG for seven years. I didn't know about mmorpgs then but it was Star Wars so I picked Catra Lanis, this time with a male character. It kind of stuck and I've been using it in every game since. I also reason that in the unlikely event that I'll run into an old buddy he or she will recognize me.

This was the name of my first D&D character to survive past level 2 back in the 80's. I use it for almost all of my gaming characters.

Well, my name sounds like the Hollow Earth theory, where there is a habitable world that lies deep beneath the rock. sounds cool.

but really, I like Drum n' Bass. and i got it from a dark DnB tune from Evol Intent. Posted Image

Eh some could confuse me with one of those staunch old New England farmers, but yeah Mid West redneck thru and thru.

I do love breaking the Meta and making tryhards rage. Though the rep is having consequences, often feels like from the drop the enemy game plan is kill Joe 1st.

Know why all the trees in Michigan lean to the South East? Cause Ohio sucks. I could go by True Blue Hillbilly to.
These days find me playing on the Front Slope in Colorado.

I live in a huge forested area of NJ called the Pine Barrens. The local rednecks are known as Pineys....hence the name.

Played the Battletech RPG set in 3029 and had a character named Markus von Shcleier. This is the name of his son.

Good to hear. Ohio sucked away 10 years of my life in dull gray, allergy addled MEH. I can see why they built a cult around their Suckeyes... because life there is so boring you need ANYTHING to keep you distracted from it. And well..it's not like they have any actual Professional Sports teams there, outside of Soccer.

I lived in the Carolinas for awhile and hated having to cross Ohio diagonally, it actually makes Nebraska look interesting.
Not to offend anyone from Ohio, just keeping it real.

7 years in Salisbury followed by 10 in Columbus. If anyone is offended they are either brainwashed, or never have left Ohio.

At least West Virginia and Kentucky have breathtaking mountains. Carolinas have the Blue Ridge also, and the Beach. Ohio has.... Cedar Point? Posted Image

Been using Freebrth since MW2 on Mplayer & netmech. Actually been mine since before Microsoft purchased Hotmail back in the mid 90's. I remember watching the MechWarrior 2 Ghost Bear's Legacy intro where the guy in the smaller mech is about to die and screams "Freeebiirth!!!" at the assaulting Kodiak ~ That's when I knew it would be my screen name.

Since 1997 when Quake 2 came out, I've used "Poohead" on every online game.

I was trying to find the most uncool, mildly offensive name possible. Mainly as a reaction to all the eye-roll-inducing 'cool' names people were coming out with, like "FR4GMASTA"....

The only online game to not accept it was Battlefield. But their filter was so dumb I just used "P**head" and they were fine.

Mine's the result of having to choose an alias for the first BBS I ever used. Being a big Btech tabletop and X-files fan, grabbed my favorite tabletop mech and threw in the X at the end. Internet era came around and just stuck with it. Although over the many years some people in another game or other forum would message me saying "that from btech/mechwarrior?", far more people would ask me "are you a girl?" because of the "cat" part 99% of the time for reasons I still don't understand, always threw them off when my standard reply became "No, I'm a mix of a Maurader, a Catapult and David Duchovny".

MW:O was the only game I had thought of using another username because although the Timber Wolf Prime is my favorite tabletop mech, I knew I'd be on the Inner Sphere side of community warfare. But hey, getting sometimes asked nowadays why I always pilot a 'pult C1 with a name of another mech, beats getting asked "are you a girl?"
