Scouting is a thing again since the bonus change. I have a lot of 300k cb matches with less than 300 dmg in Ewar Ravens.

Bog is my favorite ambush map. Really makes me wish you could pick your mech after seeing what map. I would never play Bog in anything but a quad srm6 2N with seismic. Rockets from the Sky Gods.

Thanks. Scouts do pay off quite well when many people have streaks and LRM's. I do wish more people are not afraid to mount LRM's on non-LRM boats. (ie a single LRM 20 or a pair of 10's on a marauder, or an atlas, or what ever.). Scouting is a bit difficult but it pays of nicely when the stars align and with the whole info warfare coming up I hope scouting is a very strong aspect to the game where if a team has a scout and the other doesn't it'll tip the scales. But I am getting a tad of topic here. This is a thread about maps.

Meh. All the maps have their good and bad. Tourmaline and Alpine offer excellent opportunities for long range stuff. Viridian Bog is great for slugfests. Canyon Network is an outstanding shoot-and-scoot map.

I just want to know why I always wind up on Terra Therma when running my hottest builds. Seriously, you know how quick a couple of PPCs and a Large Laser will cook you on that map?

I think the only reason we sometimes drop on Caustic or Mordor are people trying to farm their multiplier.

Caustic is very popular, I think next to Frozen City (counting both versions) that is the map I see the most.

I do not hate any map so if it has been a while since I have last seen it I will vote Tera Therma, even if I am in an energy boat.

Bog is a flankers paradise. Plenty of cover to skulk around and backstab assaults from above and below as a light mech.

As long as that Light has jump jets. If not, I really hope you like getting snagged on every root out there.
