755 tons VS 480 Tons in skirmish.
Seriously, how is this supposed to be fun? Well, I guess it is for one side ...

I take it this was pug queue?
If so, there's no excuse for the MM not to share out ***/heavy/Med/Light evenly.

Nah, this seems to be group queue. OP probably got matched with an 8 man group or something, in which case the MM allocates them less tonnage.

This is an interesting comment.
You're saying it is OUR (as in the 3 man group) for not using as much of the available tonnage as possible. You realise that the logical extension of that argument is that lights should only ever be seen in large groups that have tonnage issues.
If everyone then tonns up like you seem to suggest then another comment I heard tonight becomes valid.
"You never play conquest on conquest maps" because, well, everyone would then be in large, slow mechs.
The fact that you have to choose your mech before your game mode means that eventually, you will get these mis-matches when people pick the mech for the mode they want to play. Otherwise, let's just admit that we're all headed for sameness in a bland world of heavy/assaults and deathballing.

A 3 man group has 275 tons to play with.
It's not MM's fault if you only decide to use less than half of it.
This is not something that can be pointed onto 1 specific group, at least for this game. Seems like everyone on your team decided to run very light therefore it's a bit everyone's fault on your team.

Mode voting is still a carbunkle on the buttocks of this game.

Once again, let solo players who wish to do so drop into the group queue.
There I said it.

What would be a map/mode voting fail would be if the map choices never changed between a handful of the same maps. I mean how many times will maps like Terra Therma, Forest Colony, or Caustic Valley show up in the map choices before some of maps are brought up for voting? It's a colossal failure of the map/mode voting system when you have to play Terra Therma four times in a row while the majority of the players wanted a different map.

Mode voting needs to go even if it means Oceanic has to go. Or they can accept their fate and deal with wait times.
