Most systems are named for their primary settled planet rather than the stars themselves. IRL Most named stars are either close to Earth or giant/supergiant stars that would not likely have surviving planets or settlements. The Kerensky cluster is a globular cluster ( very tightly bound formation of stars) so none of the stars would have historically been named. They would likely have a catalogue number somewheres related to its position in the cluster.
**edit** also IRL there is no globular cluster as close to Earth as the fictitious kerensky cluster.
