The Colonial Marshal's Haiku:

Sitting in my lonely Marshal

Waiting for the damned target to show

I am so frigging bored

"Prey"

You are a punk, you cannot battle beyond your weak strategy, your flagging machine gun sanding, bumper car randy, thrust-thrust- thrust,
Break off, or make the bust, you mech'd cop'r you immersion stopper! Love ya, just not in the hopper.

If life ended today, from the fray, would you be at peace, or desperately pray? Prey, I have wronged you, done the song to you, not sung to you, but hung you, yo, bro, in a blizzard, with no snow, but on your screen, mean, I mean, You are less of a blessing than the flea, not mech, but pest, I lay you at rest, behest, King the chess, master till caught, then bought.

Reality shadows the hope of escaped doubts, the doubts clinging to any hope shared.

Oh awaken cold death, your hour is nigh...
Our Enemy waits... //Reactor Online//

Oh awaken cold death, pull open thine eyes...
No enemy shall hide... //Sensors Online//

Oh awaken cold death, hold now your blade...
Fates be our guide... //Weapons Online//

Give us this day in Blood and Glory,
Or take us in death of Honor and Laurel.

//All Systems Nominal//

Let Gods and Mortals take witness and pause. This day shall be won, this battle be ours.

Now falls Silence, the sound I like best,
These moments before, when all seems to rest.
The hour upon us, the time nearly past,
When weapons let loose, and missiles shall flash.

A symphony of death, A Requiem most fatal,
Swells up from COMs of allies most able.
For now in this time, when all falls still,
Our song shall guide us with every kill.

And if we should fall, our victory lost,
The song of our death will be now our cost.
For all that we seek, and all that we know,
We fight to our Death, or the Death of our Foe.

The day now lay fallen, it's come now once more,
These moments of silence, that I most adore.
The hour's upon us, in which all falls still.
One final hour, For one final Kill.

((Absolutely loved the ryhmes, even if it was hard to find the appropriate beat. Figured if we're gonna throw in refrences, let's end this note on some Strong-Bad Posted Image ))

Here they come trying to flank me
Broke down Awsome wielding a PPC
I'll take his beat up Assault ride
and leave it as a wreck from all sides

Claiming on how summer time is here, but winter is uppon ya'
Whatchya know about cold in the not-so-great state of Carolina?
Up here your heat sinks work double
And no life support in your mech? You're asking for trouble

Frozen solid, even your Myometer wont work
Welcome another green pilot providing the circle-jerk
Hypothermia kicking in,
Hands shaking, legs breakin, your life we be takin

Flesh freezes in 3 seconds of exposure
But for you, I'll make it last longer for torture
Diggets falling off one by one
Something tells me you werent prepared for this son

Sit down, Class is in session,
The kind of tact that leaves you second-guessin
Half-pint mech jock overcompensating in Awsome
Gets dropped down by LRMs blastin

Class dismissed, dont forget your assignment
Go forth in the frozen praries like I did
Find some scrubby carolina boy talkin $#!^
Take his coat, his c-bills, and watch him go blue for a bit

Sicker than the whole of your nation
Mind more twisted than your wreck mech's rule
I'm an abomination
And I'm coming to your house after school

SCHOOLS OUT

At home, alone with my thoughts, wondering what has happened to the warrior of the colder regions, some fella weathered, withered, mayhap wethered?
The remembrance is not correct, perhaps?
I see the clouds, the rain we call drizzle, for in my land, we have as many names for rain, as northern Alaskans have for snow.

Where are you, phagiant poet? War maker, widow slaker?
Does thou knowest mine dream, ye weak puppet of your shallow emotions?
Go about 90 kilometers down from the Dev's PGI, you'll find me there, not far from I-5.
Teach me a lesson old son, brother to the dark, homeless, recluse from the sun.
Go with a knife or pistol, or fist to fist, but only for fun ;) .
Let's throw the dice, smile the wicked smile, humor indeed, we know the price, the vice, trice, minced the mice..

Scouts are out, running the race, stealthily paced,

Seeing, being, yet not existing to the enemy, soon enemy reeling,

Enemy scouts detected, heading vector, speed is, roger that, shadow that, copy cat, snare the rat,

Converging, emerging, immersion, soon scrap time diversion, NOW!!!!

Enemy scouts down, enemy blind, find 'em scouts, find their spine, mediums, heavies, whatever, that'll be fine...

More like a bunch of rhyming words than a real poem but enjoy!

Fire support one can appreciate.

Here comes a tall lumbering stalker.

Cougar begins to defecate.

Cerulean typhoon hurling
Lightning assails!
Charred armor whirling,
Life-support fails.

Capacitor charges,
Electric death flies!
Pantone bolt strikes
Between the eyes.

Shattered alloy,
Carcass cremated.
Not being coy:
"Target eliminated."

(I LOVE PPC'S  )

The darkhearted Warrior is many things, self imposed mayhap, mayhap not. there is his loathing for others, or himself, this cannot not be denied effectively, plausibly.
The time he wastes with us is our boon, his bane (for the most part). Reluctantly the darkheart reveals his passions in the fray or the pawl, with raging burst of emotion, shout, put down smack! He shall make others fall.To the quiet whisper before the destruction he unleashes, or slyly dices. Vices, all have, not only he, true?
The shadow speaks to any light in his soul, not always as some would assume, sometimes in a brotherly tone, sometimes with envy and hope, but only in the solitude of the chambers saved for such times, times of weakness, times of despair or drunkenness.
Blackness be it matte, gloss, or a smokey vail distorting the image of such a Warrior's persona to those who respect or despise, why for art thou darkhearted? Lies and muddied truths darken all paths.

This is for you:
Darkness is my reptilian comfort, emotions held tightly, shared slightly, mostly out of sight, fight the bright, day by night, lift the brew, crash the kite...
Nobility in the blackness I wield, to the field! Skill my weapon, confidence my shield. Scarred not healed, fallen, not felled, heaven the goal, while living/dealing hell!! !
Out the the mountains to the Vale, each Mech having a task to manage, a deed to do. Are you the leader, or follower Darkhearted one? Does it matter when you let it rip!?!? Get the grip? Strip the enemy to a walking stick, a burning wick, slick with his own bowel fits, fear rips?

Now for the Haiku's
Refraining You Hold
Nobles at your command hold
Calculation pays

Whispered fears at bay
Darkhearted dreams whisper too
Twine as rope fulfilled

PPC's Discharge
Armor gone the way of smoke
Gauss Rifle talks back

In to the cockpit,
The Timberwolf charged forward,
A warrior's cry.

A warrior's cry,
Were not they too young to die?
A meaningless death.

A meaningless death,
Metal death cries in the night,
The gauss was steaming.

The guass was steaming,
Timbewolf pressed on limping,
Immortality.

Immortality,
A Fleeting dream now long gone,
The pilot marched on.

The pilot marched on,
Silence now gripping the field,
Another day won.

Another day won,
Returning home from battle,
No rest in these times.

No rest in these times,
The call fo battle returns,
In to the cockpit...

Look at me! I should drink more often!

Mechwarriors surround me.

They may not be friends, yet they are not the foe.

The Foe comes for me as a hoard,

Smelling the newness of my shiney new mech, my shining smile of my first battle.

They cut me out of the pack, like the weak, sick, or old prey, the way the Terran wolf used to do.

My not friends, my not foes, look down on my prone mech.

Humiliation tastes of rotted flesh regurgitated from a buzzard's lunch.

To whom does a fallen Warrior go to find solice from the pain of failure?

Back to the place he found it, hopefully to learn from the mistakes of the past.

His mistaken choices, mistaken voices, listened to from the past training now obsolete....

A Haiku to all you people asking about Mad Cats:

Clans came in 3050
Along with Mad Cat, Vulture as well
This game is in '49.

Yes, I know it is a bit lame.
