Seems this is the only map players select, preventing me from ever being able to play on the other maps.
I choose any other map and it is all but guaranteed to be 60-70% River City. Effectively making it the only map i am able to play on.

I love River City, would like to play it more. But I don't usually get it unless I use my x10 modifier.

These are most common for me too, which I kinda like as River Sh***y is one of my least favourite maps. The map is much bigger now, but still continues to be the same ole death trap battle round the citadel each time.

This is true. I always actively try to force my team to take a different approach on River City. Because the dance around Citadel is actually the most boring thing imaginable in MWO. But the ironic thing is that fighting anywhere else on the map is 10 times as fun. I love fighting over upper city or lower city on either sides. Urban warfare is where MWO really shines, it's a pity it happens so rarely.

Haven't been on River City at all today.

That's because sadly the urban maps all have a large landmark to flock to. If we had just a large sprawling map of nothing but tight lanes and buildings we could at least have more options for it.
Funny enough for all the complaints about frozen city, it is probably the closest to actually accomplishing that, even if it does still have large areas that are ignored completely like every other map.

Sorry man, the stats do not prove that statement... the stats on my main account... for map use is about even across the board.. Sure you had streaky days, but over all it balanced out in the end... voting.. there is NO way it is balancing out

They were useful before seismic ruinied non-ECM light mech stealth.

Seriously though, I kind of wish PGI would have left the Citadel out of the River City remake. Maybe they could have changed it to a pile of rubble with no cover.
Luckily I still see a lot of upper city movement too that creates some nice fire fights at the starport.

Given frozen city and frozen city night are 2 separate maps (from a map selection point of view, even with random selection), that is a fairly balanced selection. Only 2 maps were not in the range of 5-10 plays. This is almost certainly more balanced than a true random selection, where you would expect some extreme outliers.
For game mode selection, for sure, it seems less random. But the distribution seems like a reasonable democratic compromise. Most people prefer Skirmish, so there's a bias towards it, but conquest still happens with reasonable regularity.
These stats would support that the Voting system works well IMO.

Unless you happen to like playing the game mode with the highest average rewards and shortest match times.

Usually, "I will kick you in the nut sack if you pick that map." OR, "I will leg your *** and leave you to die or be ***** by the enemy."
Needless to say that doesn't work ... my suggestion is deal with it because River City is a better map.
