Well. I won't lie to you. I've litteraly falled in love with the warhammer with is brutal look.
Say thank you to Mechwarrior 5 trailer and Mechwarrior Living Legend for that.
But since that mech is an "unseen".
Does that mean there is absolutly 0 chance of seeing that mech in MW:O?

Smith & Tinker got in trouble for the 3015 Whammy, so I would expect PGI/IGP to be held up to the same. We're lucky to have the Phoenix 'Mechs that are already in game.

Jeez... That suck.
It was one of the best looking mech in the battletech universe...
Even if they make a new design for him it won't work?

Yes. Harmony Gold pretty much exists on lawsuits these days, and even the redesigned 'Reseen' version can be lawsuit bait on the basis of it being a derivative work. PGI doesn't have the money to fight them, so the only Unseen we're getting are the Crusher Joe and Dougram based stuff we've already got in the Project Phoenix package. Macross stuff is not going to happen until HG completely collapses.

From what little has been said on the subject it appears that Harmony Gold (the North American rights holder for all things Macross) has veto power even if the Macross unseen are used with and based off totally different art work.
That veto power hasn't been elaborated on, but if I was guessing blind (which I am) I would guess its either a settlement between Microsoft (the electronic IP rights holder to MechWarrior) and Harmony Gold, or possibly stemming from the MechWarrior 5 game preview trailer, which the Warhammer was used, and to which Harmony Gold sued over the use of.
IIRC PGI/IGP was the ones who made that preview trailer and might have granted that veto power as a part of the settlement of that suit.

That means no:
Wasp
Stinger
Valkyrie
Phoenix Hawk
Crusader
Falcon
Firebee
Hornet
Ostroc
Ostsol
Ostscout
Archer
Warhammer
Rifleman
Marauder
Behemoth (Clan)
Reading that statement was a severe disappointment to me, as my favorite 'Mechs are in that list. I'll survive and all, but it was a big let-down.
