[Malpherian]

Being a new player, and having spent a few days looking over a lot of clans, and Units, etc. I have found a great many listed on these forums are very small or very inactive, or just not active at all.

This being the case it is exceedingly difficult for a new player to find a home and people to play with so to speak.

This thread will be dedicated to all Active clans. As of 12/29/15. (today)

If your Unit is active, and recruiting, please post with the following:

* Name of your Unit
* Faction/Clan Affiliation (if any)
* Type of Unit - Competitive, RP, Casual, etc
* A little about your clan.
* Requirements (if any) to join.


I am making this thread as I said above because finding a unit is so difficult. Checking the recruitment forums in each and every faction and clan sub forum, yields you with little information, as, as I stated above the vast majority listed seem to be inactive.

Thus leaving the new player, exactly where they started, and in fact with the impression the game is dead or dieing.

Hopefully this thread will help to remedy this.

Mal,

Hate to burst your bubble but this thread would eventually suffer the same problem you describe as teams come and go.

Easier way to go about it is to goto the recruiting forums where units that are actively promote their organizations on the threads already there. If its not being bumped by a member, its not likely to be active or seeking recruits. The active units who have recruiting drives are readily apparent with a simple, cursory search of the recruiting forums.

we have both competitive teams and casual players

A Roman themed international unit, with roughly 180 players last time I checked, divided into battalions, you will usualy be put into the battalion which best fits your playtime, players are encouraged to join Lances and practice with their lance
we have a code, so long as you are willing to adhere to that we will accept almost anyone

Keep in mind, that people sometimes switch units, or move on from the game altogether, and some of those posts in other parts of the MWO forum may be out of date. But many of the units are still there. Also, TeamSpeak servers, if you see them listed in old posts, may also have moved around. It happens.

And yeah, QQ RageQuit Merc Corps is always open to new faces. Given your Cav background, I think you'd appreciate the sense of humor...

(And if you didn't earn those spurs downrange, then you didn't earn them. :-P )
