My original name was "Laz0rz", surprisingly, I never encountered anyone else using that name.
Later on, at some point during Forum RPG's, I needed a cool Russianish name. So "Petrov Ivanovich Davoke" came to be. Usually it has a 'Sgt.Maj.', 'Cpt.' or 'Sgt.' attached to it, and is shortened to just 'Davoke'.

So chances are high that it's me if you see that name floating around.
But I could've sworn the other day I saw someone else with it(on a signature around here). So I formally apologize to whoever that was, because it was an accident and I probably haven't ever encountered you before.

commander osis is one of the final battles you have in mw2 mercs. I was desperate for a handle when I was 8 and that one was simple and he had a bad *** mech in mercs. I figured since I blew him up he wouldnt mind. stuck with me for 20 years haha.

Well, I guess I could have used something else, like my designation, but that causes more than enough confusion, so I just went for my name this time.
Seems fitting, considering it is being used for Battletech.
Whereas if I was using my designation, it would be far more... mediocre? Forgettable?
People forget me at their own peril.

Our Universe and the IS cross and match, how fun is that.

My story is kind of funny. My original callsign was BlackIce, but when i started playing mech on the Zone during mech4, the name was already taken, so not knowing at the time that i would continue playing mech4 on the zone for quite some time i let it auto generate a name based off of my email address at the time, which ended up being "Fearfulmicmac", which was just awful, but i was too lazy to change it.

A few weeks later i decided to join up with some friends of mine in the Eridani Light Horse, so i tried adding the ELH_ tag in front of my name, but it was too long, so instead of re-working it I just dropped the "fulmicmac" and it stuck.

Come to think of it, that story wasn't very funny afterall.

I always liked bears but especially polar bears. Didn't want to use that. Polar bears spend alot of time in the ocean...

Steadfast was the name of my first Shadowrun Character and - well - I liked that char quite a bit. Thats why I took the name for most of my online aliases.

I really hope the Dev's don't have a problem with your name when/if they implement culling for Canon names. I for one will sign the petition to let you keep it as your callsign!

As for my name, It started as an Xbox Live gamertag on the original Xbox. It is a mix of two languages, Vengant loosely translates from Latin to mean Vengeful, and Mjolnir is the name of the Norse god of war's Hammer( Thor's hammer. ) So it basically means 'The vengeful hammer of god.'

Heh.

My actual last name is Hale, however, I've always changed my mechwarrior surname to Hell because its just more badass and seems to "fit" better in this universe ala Grayson Death Carlyle.

With my first games I played as a young teenager where you could even enter a nickname on PC and Amiga I choose "Ace" because with three letters it would fit into any highscore list (most games only allowed three letters), all letters where at the beginning of the alphabet so you could put them in really fast, and these games were single player so I was not stepping on anybodies shoes because of a rather pretentious nickname. When MW2 came out we added MW2 to our list of LAN party games, and I liked using the Annihilator, so Ace + Annihilator = Acehilator.

I have always used the name Dire or direwolf. Dire wolf was alwasy taken so i started using Dire or Dire38 but in circles like this that we walk folks usually get to it before me. So sense at the time i was playing a lot of Alien vs Pred 2 and was always an alien i added alien to the end and there we have it. And i am a light mech pilot, i find that ironic with the name LOL.
