I had to shorten it for World War II Online with only one B. I got the chance to fix it but I got too used to it. If any players form there follow me here then they will know me.
As far as background, Robert Shaw in The Battle of Britain held the call sign. He's about the only one in the movie that doesn't get shot down, emotionally traumatised, have anyone important to him killed...he just goes through the movie thoroughly British and shoot down The Boch on great numbers.
As a dirty convict in OZ though it may be seen with a different connotation...

GHK Stands for "Göttlicher Hilfsbereiter Killer" (german for godlike helping killer").
And Alucard, well... ever since I played Castlevania: SOTN the character appealed to me, hence I "borrowed" the name and thus GHK Alucard was born.
Greetings,
GHK

i liked to roll up clerics and on my way to a friends house for another game i passed someones place and from their house i could hear this voice coming over their radio very loudly as some preacher was yelling a call to prayer.
later when AD&D came along i developed a taste for cleric assassins that i would tell the rest of the party was a thief.
yea i would convince the DM that i could have a true neutral alignment and pull this of in a party with a paladin.
the name took double meaning then.

When I volunteered for service waaay back, the USA decided I could not use my Canadian name.
So...they asked me for one.
I picked a character from an old sci-fi novel....one about a time travelling lawman.
It has been my name for so long...I almost forget the one I was born with.
