Quirkless, it surpasses many things, even at 6.25s.
5.5s would have been better, but PGI went full PGI, forgetting +0.75s from the charge.

it explodes most of the times, using a gauss in one torso on xl mech is almost suicide. -- so?
why not reduce the damage and remove all that stupid nonesenses of charging the weapon? why not make it generate more heat? using a gauss is the worst, non-firendly experience in the game. - it's also still one of the most deadly ppfld weapons in the game, deal with it.
even in a grid iron. - the GI is still one of the fastest guass shooters around - but *gasp* now you have to actually plan your attack and positioning rather than shooting guass off nearly as fast as ac5 in strafing runs.
so u are giving gifts to the new ones, and make the olders suffer? - possibly the dumbest part of your argument.
oh, and i want my SPEED TWEAK BACK!!!! i work really hard to get it. - oh wait, I stand corrected.

Its complete garbage unless you've got an IS mech quirked up the yang, then its only back to normal.
There is a difference between balancing a weapon, and gutting a weapon into worthlessness, They apparently can't figure out which is which.

Personally I find it a good mid range weapon to couple with lasers.

Seriously, the synergy between the two was solid, but you can lose it quickly if you aren't careful and when it does explode you're going to be in bad shape if not dead.
Honestly, I didn't see a big number of complaints about it before, I don't think it was necessary.

Remove the charge up and increase the health back up to 10. Issues solved.
