Buy more than you currently need while on sale and live off of them until the next MB sale... my empty bay margin is usually 10-20, I only buy if I dip below 10... and I NEVER BUY MECHBAYS AT FULL PRICE

Soon is a relative term
Also i didn't say "C-Bill sales on all mechs"
it was more like ~"we will be looking at doing C-bill mech sales soon"~
but if you look at our sales from the beginning of last year it will provide a clue.

Here is the Pro tip.

Step 1: Buy MC and get 20% more MC

Step 2: Buy Premium time on Sale, Buy Mech Bays on Sale, Buy Hero Mech on Sale.

Step 3: Profit {Use Premium time and Hero mech to Earn Mad C-Bills while also playing in the Stocking Stuffer event and winning stuff.}

Step 4: Buy extra Mech bays and leave them open for inevitable Mech C-bill sale.

The key to being frugal is looking at the long term. Want it NAOW? Pay full price. Want to save? Buy it on sale even when you don't need it. Canned food, toilet paper, underwear, mech bays - they rarely expire in storage, but you NEVER want to be w/o them.


1) Buy MC NOW
2) Buy mech bays NOW
3) Buy c-bills mechs in a few weeks/months
4) ???
5) Profit

As in Jan/Feb 2014? Or Jan/Feb 2015?

Because in Jan/Feb 2014, the majority of the sales were on hero mech MC prices, including the silent 50% off ones introduced with the UI change.

An XP conversion is converting XP into GXP.

The exchange rate is discounted when it's on sale.

So this premium time, I hear it is instant, and not bankable. Is this true? This is a stellar deal, 20% extra MC and then 50% off prem time, but given how I play in spurts not being bankable hurts.

Bought the Flame and 6 mechbays with MC that I "earned" so I thought that I would add the Warhammer Hero Mech as a "Thank you" as I have just over 2 years of banked Premium time that is not getting any less due to me buying the Unseens and what have you lol.

Hi Matt, I am very familiar with the C-Bill mech sales PGI did in August/September of 2014 and was kind enough to repeat in Jan/Feb of 2015. Those sales were great and much appreciated but there were quite a few variants that were missed in those sales (and there have been many mechs added to MWO since). So for the benefit of all of us a while back I mentioned something to the effect of 'it would be awesome if ALL mechs available for C-bills would go on sale (including the variants that haven't been on sale in the faction related sales earlier in the year)'. You/PGI were nice enough to reply that there would be a C-Bill sale soon. Having a mech bay sale in light of an upcoming C-bill mech sale is AWESOME...I just hope that when PGI does have the C-bill mech sale it does include the variants that have been skipped in the previous sales (like the Atlas D-DC and King Crabs which only had an MC discount in Jan/Feb) and it includes some of the mechs we have now that were not in the game when we had the last sale. Anyhow, Thanks PGI for a great year and for all the holiday events/sales we have had this holiday season....here's hoping for an even more successful 2016 for MWO!
