Considering the 4P and 4P(C) are the same mech, get the cheaper one. It will have the XP boost for being a champion.

I agree with Kryton, get the champion variant, same mech but with a XP boost.

Get the Champion on sale without a doubt.
It comes with all the upgrades you'd have to use c-bills to get on the normal one, and the stock build it comes with is one of if not the strongest build for the variant.

if you have enough MC left look at the Hunchback Mastery bundle, it contains the 4P(C) the GI (with a cbill boost) and (I think) the 4SP.
but for the original question if it is cheaper definitely go for the Champion as it comes with a good loadout and an XP boost
