I'd like a system where before play I select a what mode i'd most like to play, this should include an 'I don't care which' option. Then when you hit play you would be first tried to be matched up with your selection failing that it's the next free game mode between the other two. People who choose any/all can be used to fill out game types with smaller numbers. This would allow players to get the game mode they want more often while still having to play other modes when not enough players are are around. Think of it like you're voting before you hit play. I'm sure there are some kinks but at least it cannot be as controlled by the masses and the modes might have a better chance of playing out like they should since most people playing them would be of like minds.
Honestly voting is not that bad, compared to some games it's more choice since most are all random. And I hated voting when it was implemented.

Sorry if it confusing typing on phone during a break just ask if you'd like me clarify/expand anything when I have a keyboard.

Instead of forcing people to play game modes they don't like, why not do something about the game modes? How hard is it really?

This here is my thoughts as well, 3 years of Skirmish,Skirmish with a cap,and Skirmish with 5 caps and a good chance the team that picked the mode is running some form of lights, has made the process of picking a game type useless to me.

I have no reason to pick game types anymore when everything is played damn near the same anyway.
