Also would prefer to see a total tonnage instead of a tonnage range. The way it's currently setup, light mechs are at a disadvantage seeing as they get instakilled by streakboats.

15 seconds boarding is too much. Counterscouters would have it too easy and it would make all out 4vs4 brawl the only actual option to win the match on most maps. Last second jump-in is a valid strategy that also add variety of choice and make the scouting not be decided long before the end of the match like it is in every other mode. Removing that option would do more harm than good. 3-5 seconds requirement would be an improvement, but not more.
EDIT: 3-5 seconds still gives you a chance to kill 1-2 scouts if there's still 4 of you. It shouldn't be too easy to kill all of them, because you would have no penalty for failing to intercept any scout during the time they gather intel.

There is no way a gathering scout lance can win if the LZ is being camped by 3-4 Stormcrows, unless the rules are like they are right now. No way.
So this is the only viable tactic at the moment. Hide until the clock is near zero and then rush the LZ.
If you would have to wait at the LZ even just 3 seconds, the stormcrows would tear you apart.
So either it has to stay as it is or the dropship needs waaaaay more heavy hitting weapons.

that way there would be incentive to be there when the dropship arrives

this reminds me of polar launch though.. so many folks ready to call it a fail, because the first few days they have not come up with tactics that work.

what i don't get if clans are doing streak boats, why aren't more people setting up their IS lance with longer ranged weapons? Nothing i love more than seeing a streakcrow and i have weapons that range um.. just a couple long range mechs on the IS side would destroy them,,
I can't wait for the weekend when i can try out some LR builds and see how they fair..

the only problem with playing scouting as a scout using scouty tactics: the pay is horrible.
