Dang, I was in a faction match and I got kicked from the game somehow. My last two matches I did pretty decent 1000 or so damage...I think both were wins.
I sent an error report, had to restart, then open the game and rejoin. By the time I did, the game was over, and I got a small penalty for leaving the match early.And I did launch a UAV right before I died.
Kinda alarming because this is the first time something like this has happened to me.

Does this happen to anyone else?
Is there something I can do to prevent this from happening?

Some players have weird connection issues. I rarely do, on those occasions when I have I've found workarounds (like running in 32 bit mode or changing Direct X settings).

As for the penalty, it's a short penalty, but successive penalties get larger. It's designed to discourage people from quiting a match if they don't like how the map/mode vote turned out or to put the brakes on attempts to just straight up farm c-bills with serial DCs. Getting kicked is more common than it should be. I was kicked earlier. Usually quitting the game and going right back in then clicking on one of the mechs you have in the match will give you the option to rejoin. Worked for me

Yes, I know what ASAP really means, DON'T KILL THE JOKE! I know it's kind of lame and all, but it's happy. You won't be putting it out of its misery, you'll be ending its life!

Friends, have you heard of the plague of humorcide in our society? It's horrible. In nightclubs around the country so-called comedians attempt to tell jokes and funny anecdotes, and are best moderately successful until some lame-*** in the audience pulls a jerkface comment and just murders the joke. Nevermind the fact that kids all over the world have changed "LOL" from "laugh out loud" to "this mildly amuses me". Humor is dying, and no one is doing anything!

Yep I started playing again mid Dec and I already have two penalty’s

And the problem is I never even got into the game, the game was hanging up at the start

It was so bad I had to turn off my PC and restart it

I am beyond pissed off since they are accusing me of something I did not do
I still made it back into both games and finished them, it just took some time to get back in

Extremely minor annoyances anyway. So you take 10 extra seconds to find a match next time, no biggie. Besides, the penalty resets each day. If nothing else, PGI shoud extend the re-join timer to 4 minutes so more people can rejoin in time.

I was kicked yesterday and we was more or less matched 6/5 our lead then next thing I know I am kicked from the match and went to rejoin I didn't have the option and in fact I was able to join a new one right off the bat which was strange and annoying.

I get kicked out of MWO quite regularly...and that's for 4 years.

Seems to only be in CW matches now though...so I would be happy if I actually gave a crap about quick matches.
