Something that has always bugged me a little bit is the warning indicators, especially the override engaged message. I think it would be great if we could customized where, when, and how these messages show up. For instance I think a giant flashing override engaged message the whole time its on isn't needed. Especially since it is in the exact same spot as all the other messages. A little symbol or indicator light by the heat meter would be good, and a message of override engaged could pop up next to the heat level warning when that comes up.
I was also thinking it would be nice to have critical damage down by your paper doll. You could still have it pop up in its current spot when it first happens but then have it go down there, or just go away or have a option of making it go away.
And I think in the large indicator area, we could shrink the messages down a little bit and have 2 different spots for messages. One for incoming missiles and one for other warnings, like mode specific base under attack.
I think the best thing would be if all the messages could be adjusted by the player. But here is a highly detailed professionally made image of the examples I talked about. What do you guys think?

Yes! How has no one posted this yet (probably somebody did before I existed)!?
Having multiple warnings taking up half of my screen has always been a peeve of mine. +1 OP.

Yeah for me its mostly the override shutdown that is annoying. Especially since everything else is all in the same spot so then you get multiple messages going off and might lose track of if its on or not. Plus I don't know if its just me but sometimes I get the flashing warning outline box but nothing is even in it. Tends to happen when theres multiple warnings and I'm switching override on and off. Plus I just feel like there should be a easy to see override indicator next to the heat meter, it just makes sense.

I had a similar idea for preventing friendly fire a while back.
It never really gained any traction.
