Holy ****!!!!! So since I have started playing I have spent a total of $545 (£367 approx) on MC's and store bought mechs. I have a serious MWO addiction lol

I want a badge or a giant sex aid statue now!!!!!

Nope, I'm just saying that I have spent more on a free to play game than some people earn in certain 3rd world nations in a year. Which is somewhat sobering.

That's it? I spent $1290 so far. That's $27 monthly over 4 years, so it's not actually all that much when put into perspective.
I haven't decided yet whether or not I'm going to get the Archer or Rifleman packs or any packs in the near future since the pricing on them and the rate they're being released is kind of high at the moment, I may just grind for them given that I've got plenty of mechs that still need grinding anyway.

That's the way to look at it, not as absolute numbers but as how much per month played.

It's comparable to subscription MMOs (usually $9.99 - $14.99 / month).

Over 3k but my rate of spend has rapidly decreased. PGI gives so much free stuff away I haven't bought a MC pack since the beginning of the year and still have 60% left.

But I guess I am no longer PGIs target audience. I am a Battletech fan with large amounts of expendable income that has supported this game since day 1. Not an e-gamer from Steam that may or may not spend $15 on average on this game (if PGI is lucky).

HEY NOW....im one of those "Steam Gamers" and i may have.....well....purchased all of the steam packs over Christmas to start....and we will just leave it at that. Not all steam gamers are leeches. Wargaming, through their grossly inept ability to not only balance their game, but treat me like an intelligent human being, completely lost my business. So i had a big void where that genre was concerned....and mechwarrior came along and filled that quite nicely!

Not done yet either. Need something special, though. Most of the things available to buy seem like re-hashes of what I already own. Need something truly unique to bust my wallet open again. Or something passionate (Bushwacker anyone?)

Phoenix Hawk is the next thing I'm gonna buy. That or the Valkyrie but as a slow light it's not exactly high on the priority list.

The Valkyrie, Stinger, and Wasp will probably be as hard to kill as the cheetah with the humanoid shape and stick arms and legs. Most likely they will be very good lights.

I too have spent over $500 on MWO, but considering some of my other hobbies and how much time I have played MWO it really isn't that bad. I have been playing for almost 3 years and have played thousands of matches. In that time I have probably spent less time riding my Harley than playing MWO and I paid many, many times more for it than MWO. On a Saturday at the range sometimes I shoot $100 of ammo. I spent over $400 in September to plant food plots for deer and turkeys I want to hunt. In light of those, the amount I have spent on MWO is pretty trivial.

I would probably have spent more of the pricing was a bit lower or they hadn't made early adopter rewards the biggest reason to buy mech packs.

I don't even wanna know. With the overlord pack, all full clan waves and most of the unseens with the heros I've spent way more than I intended. I even have almost all of the heros and am still sitting on 7k MC. The pretty baby and the dragons I don't have but I don't know why I should buy them.

Do I regret it? Not a bit. Still having a blast with this game.
