I like your logical thought out argument against this.

If they can't or won't do anything to curb the massive pinpoint alphas in this game, band aid fixes like the OP are needed IMO. I want to see TTK increase significantly.

People have reached a point where they want only a real solution as opposed to a band-aid. So anyone proposing the latter now get shut down hard.

But this is the Call of Duty generation that PGI now want to appeal to so badly. We are e-sports. Surely you must realise it's only a matter of time now before our mechs can crouch and can slowly regenerate lost hit points.

Do not be ridiculous! Mechs will only ever regenerate hit points when hiding behind chest-high walls.

Also what is so wrong with torso-twisting mechanic that we want to render it obsolete by making CT impenetrable?

Because CoD optimised mice only move 1cm each way?

It would also mean changing MWO's default sensitivity quite a lot.

Followed by insane buffs to twist speed.

Hmm, now that I think about it we should also up the armor on the legs for lights because you know they are always getting shot out from under them faster than torso shots oh and how about we add more armor to the head for assaults as they are easy to hit!

sarcasm aside, there is no need to, after all if people want more armor because they don't like how they are taken down then we will end up slow walking buildings and no mechs...

oh and ACs are not all the same, some ACs use a single shell while other ACs are described using streams of smaller shells.

which is why they deal max damage to one location unlike LBX & U/RACs which spread it out across the entire mech.
