Before I went on deployment Metro seemed to be the undisputed leader of the Confedeation and while not everyone in CC was a genius it was small tight knit and seemingly well educated group, what happened?

It is new life to a formerly-dying franchise. The incestuous and insular community is getting a breath of fresh air, much as the game mechanics and weight class balancing are.

If you don't want to be cynical, you can chalk it up to the language barrier. English-speaking posters organizing, and ESL-moderators moderating. Leads to misunderstandings.

That may account for some but given some of the posts I saw before deletion it does not account for all of it, help me know where Metro is, tell me what happened to the community or tell me where the Lowtax thing came from.

I did not think my deployment was that long.

Btw as far as I know metro is still around, but doesnt really want to deal with all the "omg gooooooooons" hanging around in cappie space.

That "stupid bird race" is canon. Hard to dispute their place in a universe they were written into.

yes, and in canon said bird race does not pilot battlemechs, is not part of the House Liao.

hence, a genre which does not support them. Moving along.

We'll only go away if the game is bad or if you and the pubs are all so terrible that we get bored crushing stuff forever.

@ Azantia: Also, those bird's planet isn't part of the Inner Sphere and you can get there only by malfunction of jumpship. So roleplyaing them is easy, you never could get there or back, so why bother posting? That brakes your roleplay pretty hard, imo.
