Thanks to Raubwurst, who is feeding the tweeter thread on this forums, Russ has stated he had the old (wrong) information about the Alpine map.

It will stay in rotation and to be honest, it's not a bad thing.

Reasons:
1 - We add one more map to those available instead of replacing one with another
2 - By keeping the map, we can still see a future rework on it instead of it being left behind and forgotten

I kind of doubt that it was "wrong info" but cheers nonetheless, removing Alpine is dumb since the map really does just need some tweaks and then it's fine.

The map was not always bad.
