It's the one faction I almost never see. Not in public queue and never in CW. Why is that?

They've always been pretty unpopular in the setting throughout every medium. I think it's the North Korea\Commiunist China vibe. When it comes to the lore, there are very few redeeming qualities and none of the characters are actually likeable. In fact the most popular set of books (The Clan invasion ones) the Liao character is just straight up immature and the writer turns the reader against him in like, 4 chapters.

They have the lowest population. I'm rank 11 in faction play with Liao though, my favorite IS PUGs.

The reason why Liao is so disliked and Clan Wolf and Davion are so liked is because the writers wrote it that way.

House Liao is to Battletech what House Lannister is to A Song of Ice and Fire. Much like House Davion is to House Stark, only without the obscene amounts of plot armor that the Davions have.

The real reason you're not seeing much of Liao is because everyone who isn't currently on the clan front is busy fighting more or less everyone on their own borders.

I've been thinking about switching to Liao. I like helping out the underdogs.

Although I'm a Clanner at heart and I will probably help the Smoke Jaguars first if I really wanted to switch factions.
