There really should be a pinned thread for short questions.

1. About NARC Quirks....it says "NARC Beacon Range +50", what does that mean? I was able to lock on the Narced enemy and didn't notice any limitation in range between me and the enemy.

2. In the "Home" Menu I had an entry with "Pilot rating skill" or sth like that. However when the bar was filled (level 5), the entry disappeared. Did I win MWO and am the master of skill now? I thought I move up to level 4/6 or so.

1) most weapon range quirks or modules are measured in % so I am pretty sure that means + 50% range to your NARC launcher, so usualy the NARC would have a range of 450m, that is if you fire at at a Mech 451m away it will not reach it, so with the +50 you should be able to hit something 675m away.

2) your Pilot Skill Rating is a level, 5 is lowest, 1 is highest, when you fill (or empty) the bar you go up (or down) so if you completely filled your tier5 bar you should go up to tier4, then you have to fill the bar again to go to tier 3 and so on.
your gain/loss of points is based on your match score ^{(note score as found on the team stats end of round screen, not XP, Cbills or damage)}
here is an explanation of how you gain or loose PSR as I understand it

on a win you cannot go down and I think 250+ points means you get more points, 450+ means you get a lot of points.
on a loss less than 250 means you go down, 250-450 means stay the same, 450+ and you go up.
everything you do ingame contributes to the score, however 50% of your damage seems to be added directly to your score, so 500+ damage cuarentees you will not loose PSR points

Hi Exard,

now to the answers:

1.) This influences the range at which the NARC Beacon itself can be shot at the target. The NARC launcher itself works the same as any other missile weapon with a maximum range.
2.) I can see in the forum that you are Tier 4 now, so you actually advanced already from Tier 5.

The only logical explanation is that you've transcended to another level of mech awareness and have moved beyond such earthly concepts like Pilot Skill Rating.
