When I am in-game MWO, the push-to-talk function in TS3 does not work. If I ALT-TAB out of MWO then it works instantly. Does anyone know if there is a setting in MWO or TS3 that might enable it?

What set up are you trying to run?

For me, I need to be able to hear and talk to the ingame voip for combat calls in pug games. But, I need to be chatting with my buddy in our two man group over TS3. We set up like this (note, I use Left ALT key as it's under my driving thumb but you can use whatever PTT key you like):

1. Set your MWO ingame to Push-to-Talk = Left ALT
2. Create a TS3 advanced hotkey to mute mic = Left ALT (down)
3. Create a TS3 advanced hotkey to unmute mic = Left ALT (up)
4. Set your TS3 to voice active so you can just chatter with your mates freely

So, when you are in a match... you can be chatting openly with your group in TS3 while also listening to ingame voip. If you need to call out targets, etc ingame, you press Left ALT key, it mutes your TS3, activates your ingame voip. When you let go of the Left ALT key, it mutes your ingame voip and unmutes your TS3.

Works a treat for us.

Not sure that directly addresses your question, let us know if not.

Assume MWO VOIP is disabled. I need to get the PTT button for TS3 to work while I am in MWO, because right now it does not. No one I drop with knows why theirs works, but mine doesn't.

Doublecheck key bindings. May or may not be an issue, but be sure that your TS PTT key isn't bound to anything else in MWO.

Though, I use CAPS LOCK for both MWO VOIP and TS PTT, and it'll do both simultaneously if I have them both on. (Been trying to avoid in-game VOIP lately.)

try going to MWO settings and setting the game to full window, I had a similar problem a few weeks ago and that fixed it

That's a great idea, I'll try to remember that one if I'm ever in a TS group again (currently unitless).

Mine is also assigned to caps lock in TS3.
