G27 Wheel + Mwo

I've got it all plugged in and working in DiRT Rally, but MWO doesn't seem to recognise any of it at all, even the pedals which I've heard other people use.
Any suggestions?

OP don't listen to this troll.
I hope you get your steering wheel to work, it would be very immersive for NASCAR matches.

Yes I'm the troll because I expect him to not ruin the experience of 11 of the random people he will be matched with... It's against TOS to AFK or refuse to play a map but this is honestly no different.

what if i told you there is a good number of tier 1 players driving with a joystick and aiming with a mouse?
I see no problem with the steering wheel and pedals for movement, pedals should be a good addition even without a wheel.

I tried my G27 as well .
But only the pedals, for smoother turning than the "A" and "D" taps could provide, th rest wouldhave been handled still with keyboard and mouse .
Too bad the game didnt really know what to do with it when I tried it and I was too lazy to fiddle around with joy-2-key and other emulators .
So the idea in itself isnt THAT bad, except for using the wheel itself^^

It would be fun for a few games, but I suspect that the novelty will where off after a few matches.
For those saying "oh no you're throwing my games", stress less. I suspect that even with a wheel I'll be playing at least as well as a great number of players I've encountered.
That said, I also have a nice Joystick which I've tried and will use from time to time. It takes some time to learn to play well with, and it will never beat a good keyboard and mouse, but it is far more immersive.

HeadTracking was terrible last time i tried it a year ago. I can't imagine an occulus being better. When you look around with the head tracking the arms dont move like when you do it with the mouse. Meaning you now have feet, torso, arms AND freelook to manage. At least with mouse freelook the arms move with it and help to aim. And there is the matter that the mech i tried suddenly had very short arm movement(it didnt feel short when the view was stuck forward) and also terrible side views if any making anything but forward view useless.

Given the terrible aim I've seen from some players, specifically the ones that appear to be using joysticks without actually knowing how to use a joystick, I think he'd fit right in, so it's not like you can really say he's sandbagging his team - plenty of people play with equipment they're no good with, as is their right.
Heck, what if he once lost all the fingers on his left hand in a tragic and unexpected beer pong accident? You can't exactly force a guy with no fingers to use a keyboard or quit the game. That's discrimination against the disabled. That's not cool. That's about as cool as running an AS7 with nothing but 2xLRM20s and 4xERLLs.

Then playing bad builds shouldn't be allowed either... it is after all ruining the experience of your teammates when someone try to help with his flamer vomit nova.
You want serious game? Go to cw and play with units spawncamping cw_pugs.

You're right I'd like to ban all LRM pilots and atlases that come with one small laser... Yes I was speechless.
This isn't a game designed for fun, lol surely you jest? If it was designed for fun the on the flip side of steering wheel under hive, i should be able to take 12 atlai or 12 dire whale with my 12 friends and rofl stomp all of you all day without issue, because it's just for fun!
Right? Right?
Or things like timeline and weapon balance wouldn't e an issue, because shooting Sean Lang with 15 large lasers a la TheB33F should be allowed because it's funny and fun.
Please spare me, if you play like crap on purpose you should be punished like the rest of us. Welcome to online gaming!
