Hi everyone !, inspired by Hitman85's post.
I have started on making my own MWO paper model
Got to admit learning to use Blender was a nightmare but once i got it, i started puping out stuff like crazy !, took me a week (minus 1 week on Blender learning...) to finish simplifiing the Hunchback, this is what i built so far,
. Posted Image
I ve already finished simplify the 2 arms, missles pod (shoulder), default canon and the 6 lasers pod. Sadly finals are coming up so i'll put it on hold this week .

I'll try to update frequently, this is only the begining! Also i have zero experience in painting figure, i had only watch several Warhammer 40k army painting videos. So teach me if you can !

Yes, not just removing the entire arm or gun, i'll try to make some kind of plug so that i can fit the gun in, like putting 4 ppc on the Hunchback belly, and also some way to cover the plug up when not using it. like a fully custumizable mech.

This give me an ideal too, i'll try make PPC/laser barrel that can fit to all of my future mechs. So that i wont let extra gun lying around unused. As i remember some of the barrel in all 4 mech types are quite similar.

Yes. Good. But usually similar weapons on different mechs looks different. (according MWO style). Sometimes it placed into special covering boxes or etc.

Ok, got back to it as soon as i can, Lots of cutting and trimming so it would fit to the actuall body.

The missile pod was fun to make.
In my opinion using super glue is the best way to do small details papercraft. it just seized so fast. i did most of my model with superglue, it's like a liquid resin that freeze up when come in contact with air (helps me alot with trimming things too because how hard it is). I'm an impatient guy so using white glue was a no Posted Image. I only use white glue when it's a paperkit that has color printed on it. the super glue always have a discoloring effect that it would look weird on the model. but with this kind of project, superglue all the way it is, i'm just gonna cover all of it with mr.surfucer and paint it anyway haha.

Siriously that red dot thingy has the diameter of 1 mm, use that as reference >.>, i think some of my skin is still sticking it (superglue...) ewwPosted Image

Seeing the joint you built fit snugly together is just one of the best feeling ever ! Wander if wood-maker/artisan feels the same ? Posted Image

Behold ! The new most advanced weapon system of all time, the "No-arm" arm canon :v
